Six days down, 15 to go. Thankful I can get some sleep because my heating pad makes the earache go away for a while.

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
I am thankful for the friends in my life, my healthy firkids, and my little peaceful slice of heaven. I send hugs to all my Mutts friends and hope that your day is as happy as mine.

Same here. Also despite all efforts to get me to quit I was able to protect the Rodent Patrol.

Same here. I am also thankful I survived my surgeries, and for my new friend Brian, who just moved into the building a few months ago. Made my Thanksgiving a fun day!

I got the Mutts Little Pink Socks for humans and Mutts button pack for Christmas!
I only asked for the socks so the buttons were a nice surprise!

Cool!
I'm thankful that my Mutts car magnet was still at the car wash after I ran errands and noticed it had fallen off.

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
Wonderful news Becky! So happy you got your magnet back.
I only got a measuring spoon set from mom and a small loose stone ruby from Brian, plus 6 Christmas cards. Nothing else.
I'm thankful I got a house cheap enough that the rest of the budget can go for stuff I need/want. I can fix it up and still get a new stove and fridge!

That's great you've got your own place and don't have to rent anymore. Will you Mom be moving in with you?

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
No she won't be moving in .............and she doesn't know yet. It will be at least 3 months before I can move in so still renting.....I have a lot to fix in that house first, and it's easier if you don't have stuff in the way.
Bought the back door today on clearance. Front door and both storm doors are special order because they had to be 32" and the home depot type places mostly stock 36". The house was built in 1961 so some things are not standard size anymore. But the doors should all be done within the month!
Thinking I might find interior doors much cheaper at ReStore in Rockford. At least those I can cut down to width at the hinge side to fit.

The ReStore is a great place. And if you have a salvage yard close by, it's a great place to find vintage stuff. Both those places are good things to be thankful for. Our house was built in 1902. Talk about nothing standard.

Look at Sears for some of your stuff too. They aren't the giant they used to be, but I've found some great deals there for house stuff.

Also check to see if your local Habitat for Humanity has a resale store.

Oh yeah. The ReStore. We have one, and it's great. The money goes to a great cause. I'm thankful for President Carter's support of that organization.

I am thankful my tailbone is healing nicely. And a guy from church with a truck picked up my front door today! Even unpainted it is very pretty!
