Thank goodness! That was my biggest worry. I was going to try using the same "ranks" which were those green squares for the different levels, but I was sure Fif wouldn't be able to see them, since I'd have to have used a program like Photobucket to upload them, and I know how much trouble those are for the public computers. That's why we have stars now.

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
Thankful that a mama duck and her 6 ducklings made it across a VERY busy street just a few minutes ago on the way to work. It's a 4-lane highway with a speed limit of 45 mph (which no one obeys), and just as I came over the crest of a bridge and the traffic began to speed up, I saw the brood in the oncoming lane headed toward my lane. I SLAMMED on the breaks, hoping against hope that I would not hit any of them, and also that I would not get killed in the process. She got frightened and turned around, but there was more traffic coming from the other direction. I stayed put, because she turned again and ran in front of my car. The people in the right hand lane saw that something made me hit the brakes, and also stopped, and they hurried past to the safety (I hope) of the curb. I believe the little guys were big enough to hop the curb and run off, but I couldn't see them any more for the traffic. I was a trembling mess by the time it was over, as were about a half dozen other drivers, and I'm sure the the mama and her babies as well.
Re: what are YOU thankful for?
I hope that momma and her babies made it to safety too. Bless you for taking the chance of getting hurt yourself stopping like that so you wouldn't run them over.
I'm thankful we didn't get any of the multiple tornadoes and huge hail that came through my area last night with those thunderstorms. Sure did get enough warnings on the tv though.

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
I'm thankful I got through a couple boxes of vhs tapes, and managed to clear out 14 of them. Trying to cut down how many I have lying around, a little at a time since it gets hot so quickly this time of year. Getting there little by little with the major purge. Also went through 2 drawers in my dresser clearing out what didn't fit. Thankful I have the energy at all to do anything with all the heat and humidity we've had lately.

My Kitties...Both Near and Far
Congrats on the cleaning Jeane
Envigado- Despite my current long term unemployment, he keeps me on a strict schedule of waking at 5AM and a bedtime of 10PM. He seems generally concerned for my welfare, meowing if I am still (even if I stand next to the sink taking too long drinking a glass of water). If I am moving around and behaving properly, he purrs contentedly.
Jay Jay- Eventhough I don't have a human boss, destiny has given me a cat resembling a boss, both in temperment and coloring.
Beans- A sweet soul that constantly reminds me to look where I am going.
Bello- Reminding me to laugh when seeing his belly jiggle while playing...and being good for a cuddle
Envigado & Jay Jay are with me in Flint. Beans & Bello are temporarily with a friend in Lansing...hope to get them back soon.

Thanks for the furkid update! Glad you can keep them all, as soon as you find a good place and job that pays enough to satisfy the bills. Furkids do help keep you grounded and sane.

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
hmm...thankful i was able to pull the white bookshelf from where it was wedged. i don't have it out completely nor have i finished clearing the area i need to move it to, but i got that out of the way and when i get off the computer tonight i'll take some time and work on it again. (I tend to work best after the sun goes down but i have to be super careful and quiet cuz i've gotten screamed at because i make noise down here when they're trying to sleep upstairs(they seem to go to bed at 7:00pm!).

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
I can understand and sympathize Jeane, I do my best work late too, especially in summer when it's cooler then to do anything.
I'm very thankful for the AC at the library and at my mom's building. Unlike last year, they've turned it on the hallways there already so you don't roast walking to the apartment. My building has no AC in the hallway...

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
that i finally got the bookshelf moved and the bed moved....i should take a picture of it. i've dreamed of my old bookcase headboard bed i grew up with ever since i left home. this is as close as i've come. its nice ...the kitties can't jump over it and scatter everything like the little cardboard drawer sets i had back there.everything is nice and organized right now. i have the books i need to read on one shelf, my clock radio where i can see it etc.
