Re: what are YOU thankful for?
thankful i made it through the ultimate hell day at work. 5 hrs non stop with phones ringing so fast i couldnt' answer them. and a woman calling anc calling and threatening my job cuz she has some relative at corporate. she came into the store, stormed to the front of the crowd and started screaming at me. I swear i wanted so bad to just walk out that damn door and never look back. i thought i was going to die..,honestly...thought i was gonna have a heart attack. there were NO cashier and the manager on duty had to ring the register. i can't even get into all of it. but i just can't imagine another job that is such utter ultimate hell unless its high pay and high prestige like a cop etc.
add all this to having only 6 pieces of mini wheats to eat since before i went to bed,a few sips of water and no break in over nearly 6 hrs to even pee! its just inhumane!

You have the Job from Hell right now Jeane. I remember those days of holiday retail...........I hated running the register.
I am thankful that Brad is now out of the ICU. The allergic reaction to the meds is gone, so now he's on the mend.

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
thankful salem is home and settling down. when i came home i stopped to talk to joe about if he was back and as soon as he heard my voice he started calling out to me;) the smartass though has gotten his cone off! he goes back to the vet on Tues and he has to stay in this kitty condo (the same one little found kitty was in) until then. i'm going to watch him though...i don't know if he can jump around on the different levels with the cone one.if he can't then i'll take the coneoff andtry to put towels up in the corners where he would be rubbing. butso far he's calmed down and is sleeping;)

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
I am sooooo glad for that Jeane!
I am also very thankful that my niece wasn't hurt in her wreck a short while ago, it could've been much much worse as it's a very bad corner to be at. One of my mom's neighbors was on that same corner yesterday and wasn't so lucky........she was hit broadside by a speeding semi and died at the scene. There wasn't much left of her car at all as it was dragged several hundred feet before he stopped. She was only a year older than mom, and a very nice lady that even Bij liked.

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
It's a very bad corner, one side is very steep (don't have to stop when you're going that way) and you can't see the intersection until you're in the middle of it. That's where she turned and got hit by the semi coming from the opposite direction at highway speed, too late to break, swerve, or kiss her @$$ goodbye. She died instantly, so her family has that consolation. Mom and I were almost hit on that same corner last summer, the truck blew the stop sign...........if I hadn't braked and swerved he'd have had us broadside.
I'm thankful my sis let my niece move back in despite their past problems. Her boyfriend broke up with her and threw her out into the streets last night with nowhere else to go.

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
thankfull 1) for balance bars (in 8 hrs i only got one 2 minute 'pee' break (sorry for anyone offended by bodily functions....at least i'm not a pooping penguin;) ) and i started to feel myself slip(literally...i started to feel myself on the edge of faintijg and that's only happened maybe once or twic ein my life!)so i started pullingoff tiny pieces of the smashed melted balance bar i'd left in my pocket! 2) thankful i made it through the day without grinding my teeth to nubs or fainting and 3)thankful. i'm off work tomorrow so i can eat and drink and sleep like a human being!

I'm thankful you're getting a day off too, to rest and recuperate before going back battling chaos and madness at work.

wellgetting my work clothes washed tonight and i only have to sew together the little tARDIS ornament i've been working on for weeks AND i 've got the ComicWho drawing done.just have to color it in etc before i send it to them.(some folks know about this..i wrote about it in the FB posts) but its a contest and you don't hae to be a fancy artist you just have to draw something with certain Who things in it and convey the christmas spirit the best way. i've had something in my head for a week so we'll see if they like it. if not at least i tried.

Thankful that when I moved part of the couch I found a chunk of Antonio's Schmice collection. I also found
