I'll have to ask......I need a hearing test anyway so referral required I'm sure.
Foots better if I don't walk too far on it.

I have to go back to the podiatrist next week. The scab covering that surgery site is hard as a rock and he wants a followup exam anyway. Back to soaking, then adding Vaseline in hopes of softening it up a bit. Hurts worse to walk on that scab than it did to walk on the lump!

Is your insurance covering that visit?

It should, it's also a standard post-op followup visit.

I had to soak this one out. Now I have a hole again (smaller) that slightly drains but it hurts a lot less to walk on.

Re: My journey to better health
Doc scraped and cut on it last Friday to reduce the thickness of the scab.....soaking it and keeping Vaseline on it to soften it helped. Car broke down the next morning.
All the pain from walking/biking and the stress of trying to find a car in this weather and no transportation to go look for a car has my BGL soaring.....and I can't sleep well either. Keep waking up in pain.

My body wants a divorce! Quite honestly I can't blame it either after what it's been through the past 5 days. Shin splints starting in now on top of bad back, knees, feet, shoulders. Can't ride the bike, too windy. BGL still high but not quite as high as yesterday. Got a lead on a car finally so a small glimmer of hope.

Better cross more....mom's wavering on the price....and my body can't take anymore of walking in this cold. I have no idea why but my left ankle hurts now. The soles of my feet, both knees, hips, upper and lower back.....if I was a horse they'd have shot me days ago.

No car......and I doubt we're going to find one to satisfy her. Less than 10 years old, less than 80000 miles, less than $4000, no rust, scratches, dents, or worn upholstery. Such a thing does NOT exist!
BGL still on the high side, yet I'm not eating all that much. Too tired to cook, nearly too tired to eat.

Foot still is not quite healed yet after nearly 8 weeks. On meds now for my back so I can keep going on the move. My back, hips, hands, knees, feet want a divorce! I'm covered in bruises from all the boxes bumping into me while carrying them. If I wore shorts and a sleeveless shirt right now people would think I was being beaten at home.

Re: My journey to better health
No...they tested me for that last August.
Moving in and the storage unit is dark all the time now. Hurt myself yesterday tripping over the dolly in the dark. Lower legs all bruised and scrapped up now. Back's not too bad but my hands are screaming and I have a LOT of unpacking and rearranging stuff to do. Despite it all my BGL look good....in the normal range.

That's great -- the BGL, not the banged up legs. I bet part of the healing issue with your foot is all the abuse your feet took this winter. Hopefully, a warmer house will help.

Re: My journey to better health
I'm hoping it will finish healing when I'm done unpacking. I'm still on my feet a LOT. My body still wants a divorce.
Put moisturizer on my feet last night and there is still a tiny hole where he removed that lump. It refuses to finish filling in and is still kinda hard. I think it's a scar now.

Moisturizer every day can't hurt. Maybe some Epsom Salt soaks once you find all your stuff.

How far away from your old place did you move?

About 50 yards as the crow flies, across the back yard. But if you drive it's just around the corner.
My breathing is a lot better since I moved...no more black mold to deal with! No more cigarette smoke either.

Cigarette smoke will do awful things. I don't have allergies or headaches, and I got a migraine response when I checked into a hotel room that was filled with smoke stink. Glad things are improving.

Tell me about it. I'm now throwing out stuff that the mold ruined while it was packed in a box.

Re: My journey to better health
Shock of shocks....went to a health fair at the church yesterday. I lost 12 pounds just from moving. All that hauling boxes down the stairs to a storage unit, stacking them, now hauling them back in batches. Never a day when I can just rest, I'm almost always constantly on the move these days. I haven't weighed this little for decades! Some people say they thought I'd been sick...I look older since there is little fat now to fill out my wrinkles. Yes folks, I'm old enough to have wrinkles.
I now fit in sz 9 jeans. 10's are loose. 12's require a belt to keep them from falling off! Hanging onto my sz 12's (don't have any 10's but tried them on at the thrift shop) though since I know when I'm all settled in I'll probably regain that 12# by New Years.
