Re: Junko, calico kitten
One of my hoomans took my prized possession outside. Of course I followed to show my protest of it being taken away from me.
Junko
She was caught with a dead mouse again and my mom took it outside. Junko wasn't happy about the mouse being taken away. We never had a dead squirrel be given to us. One feral cat gave us a dead rabbit on the patio one summer.

My meowmy took my prized possession too. I worked so hard to get it, and then she took it away. Now there are no more. Hoomans have no feelings.
Mouski
(I've seen Mouski watching the fat squirrels on the bird feeders. If he could go outside, they would be goners.)

What is it with them. Really, I caught this huge bug and it was so much fun to play with and she took it away from me. Tonio

Junko has brought in some live mice in the house and let them loose.

There is something about the fun of the chase in front of a less than enthused audience.

Sigh. Junko found a dead mouse last night and was playing with it. She even showed it off to my mom. Dead mouse got removed to the outdoors.

Oh no! It sounds like she's having a blast at the people's expense. LOL She is a mighty hunter though. It's impressive how she is so successful. Maybe she needs a little football helmet with mouse faces that have x eyes for each kill.

She needs something. Even if it's a picture of a mouse that has x's representing each kill.

It seems like there is a break in finding dead mice. Just as well, since we need a break from finding dead mice. The cats are enjoying a pot of real cat grass. The pot is on the floor so the cats can eat when they want it.

Yeah... The mouse game gets old quickly. Hopefully, the things are moving back outside since spring is right around the corner.
My cats wouldn't eat the cat grass. Not sure why, but I ended up just putting it outside to become regular grass. They do love some green beans though.

I spoke to soon. Jack brought in a live mouse into the house this morning. I was able to get the mouse into a plastic container so it could be released outside. I told Jack I was proud of him for getting the mouse.

Sigh... Are you releasing them far away from your house? I've heard that they will travel a very long distance to come "home" to their nesting areas.

Re: Junko, calico kitten
You can try peppermint oil on cotton balls to chase them away. I did that for a while, and it worked for a while. It wasn't perfect, but we did see fewer.
