How's the weather?

it was so warm when i got out of work that walking to the thrift shop i almost took my coat off. I walked home with the coat open but it was a bit chillier.

It's suppose to start snowing overnight. I haven't bother to check to see how much snow we are suppose to get.

supposed to get 3-6 inches tonight starting around midnight and through rush hour tomorrow morning. Lovely.

yeah supposed to start around midhnight again and at some points could be coming down 1=2" an hour. i think we're supposed to get 9" but i haven't seen any reports since last night.
i gave the squirrels a couple stale pop tarts today and when i went out later it was most gone a d a squireels was sitting on the rail with a big chunk of one in its mouth.so i took more up....they had graham crackers, mini shredded wheats and a bowl of cereals and dried cranberries today.nobody touched the bowl of stuff but i havne't been out there for a few hours. i figure they need to be fattened up today in case they don't want to get out of their nests tomorrow;)

Speaking of fattening up, when I was getting ready to put the
beef in for dinner this morning I trimmed off some of the fat for
the ferals.

oh i bet they'll love that! if they don't eat it ,..isn't fat suet? the birds like that;)

Yes it is but I can't remember if it has been
rendered or not. I'm sure they will eat it. I
managed to get enough to last through the
weekend.

It was -7 for work this morning, windchill -26. Now that the sun's been out a while it's -2 and feels like -13 out there. Nothing like being able to use the backseat of your car as an auxilary freezer. It will not get above zero all day in actual or windchill temps. And yes, we still had school. A lot of the towns near here were closed by my school was open so I had to be out in it..............all 7 layers of clothes, and I was still freezing in spots.

It was subzero here yesterday, so today's temps being in the upper teens actually almost feel warm. Can't decide if it wants to mist out there or drizzle................either way I can't see where I'm going when the glasses get wet enough. I am so tired of winter already, and we have at least 2 more months of it to go.

22 this morning but felt like 17. Only going up a couple more degrees, with misting off/on and damp. Might get a few snowflakes flitting about over the next few days. Tonight supposed to drop to around 10, and a lot colder by the weekend. **sigh**

I'm tired of wearing 4-6 layers all the time!

28 degrees this morning, going up to 30's it wasn't supposed to snow today, but the sidewalk had a dusting when I left the house., and it was snowing all morning, only stopped just before lunch, and coming down hard. it didn't stick on the streets or sidewalk though, NYC streets and sidewaalks are very warm with all the pipes etc underneath.

yeah it wasn't bad this afternoon...i went up to take out trash and put out a bowl of stuff for the birds and squirrels and i was fine w/o a coat or jacket of any kind.

welp i guess we got some snow this morning (I didn't look outside until later in the afternoon) cuz they just mentioned my town on the ABC news here!
they also just said that the stuff that's coming tomorrow should be 6" in the city but more to the north and west...i guess that means me.

Gotten colder since this morning at work. Started out at 21 and felt like 17, now it's 19 and feels like 10. Gloomy, damp, threatened with a few snow flurries. Nice day to hibernate if I didn't have to work.

it was supposed to be a mixture of rain and snao in the Am changing to snow later and snowing most f the night. 6-9 inches. well it snowed hard all morning but the streets are still clear and it hasn;t snowed for a few hours now. it may pick up again overnihght. someone was talking about 14 inches but I couldn't see anything about that on the websites. just gotta hope there isn't that much tonight or my train wont be running tomorrow.

welpl, it was coming down hard when i was walking home around 4:00 today....i'd say there was at least 3-4" then. (It was over my ankles...i need to measure my ground to ankle height!)also the bowl i've been putting squirrel chow out in was filled and then some. that was nearly two hours ago so i wouldn't be surprised if there was 6" out there now.

We got it pretty bad. They had to close the schools....and that rarely ever happens in NYC.

It's snowing like mad here right now. I think they're only calling for something like 3" though - nothing like the east coast is getting. Next week, however, could be a very different story.

SNOWING! And slippery out there too. Supposed to get about 2 inches worth, then stop a bit, then start up again and give us a couple more inches worth by suppertime tomorrow. Cold too with that wind. Right now it's 21 and feels like 15 so not much warmer than when I woke up today.

i guess i should take a ruler outside and see what it measures....NYC according to the Fox station (though i don't know how much stock to put into what that station says)says they got almost 2' of snow...so we probably got that much or there abouts.
i know the squirrels and birds are hungry...when i was putting out some mini wheats, seeds, dried fruit, poptart pieces and oatmeal there was a very pretty woodpecker (i swear it was red white and blue!)was trying to get whatever they could from one of the trees while giving me the eyeball. i hope he(she?) got filled up with the goodies i put out;) (the squirrels ove the pop tarts..stale old pop tarts are quite a treat i guess!)

we were dumped with 16 inches in central park, a little more in Brooklyn where I live. We were only supposed to get 6-9 inches.
I didn't get into work until after 11 because there were no trains again. they finally started running around 9Am.

This is the snowiest january on record for NYC, and they aren't counting the 20'we had dumped on us over Christmas

i heard that and its amazing..though i know its been a lot of snow it doesn't seem like that much! maybe eons ago it just started coming earlier and stretched out over months.
in MI there were times when we'd get two feet and it was nothing....i have GOT to find the pictures of me standing on top of the snow that went over the mail box in front of the house! (We lived on a hill and that mail box was almost at eye level with me on standing on the road!).
