How's the weather?

chilly and wet here...and yesh more and more flooding. people who are having to clean out their houses in the rain are worrying about more flooding coming. was watching it this noon on the news. though i did think i was pretty stupid that this woman was complaining that her milk went 'rotten' and her meat went bad because she went out and restocked her refridge in one day. at times like this (esp if you're in a flooding area) it just is logical to buy no more than a couple day's perishable food at a time.
i worried all day yesterday at work that i ight come home to water down here...but God and the fates have been kind..for now.

46 for work this morning, supposed to get up to 70 again today. Rain tomorrow and Saturday.

it rained as hard or harder last night then it did for Irene, but the winds weren't as bad, except for one blast about 3:30 am which I swear sounded like a tornado. This morning when I left it wasn't raining. one block away and the skies opened again. It was raining so hard the streets were like rivers, now it's 72 deg and sunny, although they say we can have some more rain, possiblly tstorms this afternoon/evening and until Sunday.
Wehad the wettest August on record for NYC and it looks like September will be as well

Warmer today, about 10 degrees worth. Rain might hit today about the same time school lets out.

so far it's lovely today, going up to low 80s (I'd prefer it in the 70s if I had my druthers)the sun is shining

oh gawd itr was HOT! but at least its not raining.. keep telling myself we need to heat to dry up all this water!

Going up to around 78 today, it's 74 as I type this. No rain so the river cleanup today is going well.

They're also telling us that by Wednesday morning we'll be needing the fleecey clothes, socks, gloves, hat, winter coat, you name it. 39 is what they're predicting I'll be waking up to by then for work and colder the next two mornings after that. Those temps aren't due here for another 6 weeks!

I don't know what to say. We are still dying from lack of rain.

maybe we can shoo some of these clouds down your way. there were clouds all day threatenig rain or wind. i've been watching the skies....but not always for rain today though.

I still can't believe it will be that cold the later part of this week when it's going to be at least 85 and sunny here today. It was 60 before sunup while I was having breakfast.

WINDY! and that wind is cold too. We started out at 61 this morning, but I should've worn a jacket because of that wind. It's 67 as I type this with 20mph winds. It's supposed to dip into the lower 40's tonight with lows in the 30's for Thursday and Friday morning. They're even putting out frost advisories already!

The birds and geese are also gathering in huge flocks already, about a month ahead of schedule. Do they know something we don't?

sunny and hot. supposed to be a tstorm this afternoon and we are having 2 fronts come in tomorrow which will cool things down for the weekend with hi temps in 60s low in 40/50

but then it's supposed to warm up again. such is the transition from summer to fall

COLD! 40 with windchill of 35 for this morning. We might or might not crack 60 for the day's high today. Brrrrrr..................

rainy now, and the temp is descending. was high around 75 but will go down to about 50 tonight
