I am glad that lump turned out to be just hair...........that's a relief. The hair will grow back but I'm glad she didn't have to lose her plume.

Ha! Ma might get away with a drag or two across my back and sides, but she knows better than to approach my tum! She'd be a one-armed paper hanger in a heartbeat if she tried anything like that. You longhairs have a tough road, though, and I guess it's best you let your peoples brush you. Maybe we should all try to bliss out like Cousin Bobby and enjoy it. Hmmm.

Meowmy is deft and quick. Today I had part of my tummy exposed and the next
thing a brush was run across not once but twice. It was all over before I could sit

When my Lori brushes me with the lint brush it reminds me of my kitty mom so long ago when she bathed me.......it feels so good, like a gentle massage.

I don't get too many tummy brushes in, but it's not because he gets mad or anything - it's just that he likes his sides and back and even the backs of his legs (where Tat had her issues) better. He's truly the best kitty about this sort of thing. The problem is that my own hair gets neglected because he's busy blissing!

Miss Tat, are you warm enough? I hear that the v_t made your pants a little thinner. That happened to me once, and I was a bit chilly for a few days.

Petie and others out there - I don't get chills from the v-t's "surgery" - it's just that I look SOOOOO awful - I just like to hide once in a while - Caddy Jim tries to pet me, and give me treats, and stuff - it helps, but YUCK! on the clippers....

Aw, Tat, don't be embarrassed. Hoo, you should have seen the crater the V*t shaved on my side when Mean Kitty and I got into it last Spring. I was ventilated! But it's growing back, actually faster than Ma expected. She was predicting Halloween before I looked normal. Humph. As if she looks "normal" every single morning when she gets up. You should see her fur then!

Tat's story - - Not only did I have my bum shaved but now it's been all over the forum - This is NOT good - although I did ask Caddy Jim to take some pictures and show them here. And he did take a lot of pictures BEFORE that showed my magnificent coat - so I guess we try, but come on, this is YUCK!!!!

Tat, I so understand. I had to do that to Boo. Precious Girl was so proud of her
pantaloons. It will all grow back, it will be better than it was before. Still having had more

It could be worse. The first time my parents took Pusgley to be groomed, he lost about half of his fur. Another time he was taken in for grooming, he looked like a poodle afterwards. His belly and front legs were shaved.

Hi everyone - I know it's been a while - I'm sorry but I can't work the type machine myself and Caddy just isn't that newsworthy - BUT to answer bp's question, my horrible balding "in the behind" has SLOWLY coming back. You can't REALLY see it (can you????) and the color has matched the rest of my fur but it's NOT REALLY back yet. Caddy trims my front claws and "kind of brushes" me each week, so I do look OK - I WILL NOT let me be put in the carrier and be transported to the V-T for anything - no way, no how - RIGHT CADDY???
