Re: Refugees in my bathroom
Poor, poor baby. I wonder if there's a way she can go by herself and just hang out for a little while when there isn't an event. Maybe rides in the car to pet friendly places? I know Mouski did well with a couple trips to PetSmart where he could stay in his carrier, but see things going on. He's still not real happy about leaving home, but he isn't terrified.

That's an idea. I wish I had a soft carrier it would make things a lot easier. I've start getting serious about getting one. The one I've got now is heavy enough empty but weighs a ton when someone is in it.

I have one. It's great. Bought it on Amazon. It wasn't terribly expensive, and it has a bit of shape to it so it doesn't "mash" on the kitties. It's a whole lot more friendly to the person doing the carrying.

That's an excellent price and just what I'm looking for.

Glad to help. Hopefully, she'll enjoy some small adventures and not be so frightened by the events.

Hi, it's so hot here. Antonio and I have been enjoying the cold air and napping with La Tia. Trina

Poor Trina! Very traumatized baby. My heart just aches for her......I even wish I could take her but you already told me they don't adopt out of state. I'd be very good to her, and my place is very quiet since it's just me in there.

She's dong fine. I'm going to try a calming collar for her. If she will let me put it on. The weather has cooled off a little, cool being relative.

Do they make those little vests for kitties like they do for dogs? I haven't looked since my cats are pretty calm as it is.

Thundershirts? Yes, but the reviews are mixed.

Re: Refugees in my bathroom
I doubt Bijoux would keep a thundershirt on even though he hates bad storms. He tried to remove his floatation vest when we tried it on him to see if it fit (mom bought it in case we get flooded).
Trina, I'd adopt you if I could.

I remember Archimedes trying on a collar. He twisted himself into a pretzel and got his back foot caught trying to rip the collar over his head. Needless to say, he spent his life naked.

Re: Refugees in my bathroom
Someone is sending me a calming collar for Trina. I'm thinking I'll never get it on her. If I don't I can just put it in the crate. She goes to an adoption event next Saturday.

Did Trina get lucky? Or is she still hanging with you and Antonio? Just wondering.

I hope someone falls helplessly in love with her and all her lil quirks. She's so sweet, beautiful....and I'd still take her in a heartbeat if they'd let me.

I just dragged the crate out of the bathroom. I've opened it up, it's in the living room under the breakfast table.

Have you tried the collar yet? What's the verdict on it?

I'm going to do that Friday. Right now she and Antonio have taken over the couch. I'm sitting on the chair I use when I'm eating at the breakfast table.
