thankful for Wyler's Italian ices....they're the type that come in the plastic tubes (like Ice Pops....does anyone remember the KoolAid ice pops? they used to advertise them on Capt Kangaroo!)and not the little dishes. they're really cheap and easy to carry. (and, you can use them in an insulated lunch bag to keep things cool!)
fiff do you have an insulated bag? (they sell them at $1 stores here..i had someone buy me one since there's no $1 stores around here anymore!) i use that..or even just the little bag i use for lunch to carry home frozen stuff and even milk.i walk 35-45 min in 90degree heat and have never had milk sour on me! i can carry ice cream home in that and it doesn't melt to soup but just to a soft serve consistancy.(i'm thinking about getting some ice cream this weekend so i can really test it!)

Thankful that I may not have to work this weekend. The young woman that is doing community
service with us dug herself a hole. Luckily she realizes this and is working to get herself out of it.

I haven't seen them that cheap anywhere here. Do they work really good to keep stuff frozen until you can get it home? My car has no AC and it was like an oven when we got groceries, despite parking in the shade with reflective carshades in all the windows.

well, they sell them at the $1stores here...if you want a bigger really thermal one they're more but they're worth it if you want to bring home ice cream in the summer. this afternoon i brought home ice cream and took a pic of it (was gonna have salem in the foreground but he moved before i could click the pic!)
now,i walk home (it takes about 40 minutes from the grocery store do to home) and it was in the upper 80s or 90 while was doing it. and here's the pic of the ice cream

you can see its not melted..the top inch was soft like the softness you'd want if you were making an ice cream cone. but it was pretty hard the rest of the way down.it was in my lunch bag in my backpack

Fif, those bags are well worth the expense. They are easier to handle than coolers.
Thankful for the people that I've meet through this forum. You've not only supported
but carried me through some really bad times.

Girl, you've said one of my my biggest THANKS. The people I know here and from the previous Mutts forums have been a mainstay of my life for many years now. Given that the internet can be full of the most awful crap, I feel blessed to have found a home here among people who I may never see, but know and love as true friends. This place holds unparalleled love and friendship. Aren't we lucky?? I love you

oh yeah, thankful to be able to come in here...i don't get to talk to people except the questions i have to ask when i'm at the register. and, though i have to be careful about what i write about work (due to internet snoopers that are out there seeking out whatever we might say) i can at least talk a bit.

that being said. thankful i only got chewed out (as of right now) and not hauled into the office and yelled at today. stupid little things ...stupid little mistakes....are made into such HUGE things at that place.

I'm thankful for the friends I've made here too. I don't have very many face-to-face friends who've helped get me through the bad times like you guys have.

thankful for the fun phone call last night (knocking those trees down has made it a little easier to talk on the phone).
and thankful for the friend who found a really good deal on the first year of the new Doctor Who's box set. she wouldn't let me talk her out of sending it to me and now i'm watching it one disc at a time. this new dude is pretty funny and Amy Pond (at least so far) hasn't gotten all 'i want to jump your bones' on him. i like a companion who can round and around get into trouble and be just a good buddy to the ol' Doctor;)
