Tatiana (Tanya) (Tat the Cat)!!

Hi everyone - Tat speaking  - I guess Caddy Jim's "too busy" to post items here - he just "reads" everybody else's posts. So I though I'd put in some items while Caddy   does his thing. The weather has slowly changed - it's becoming "Fall"? I think it means it's getting cold and the days are getting shorter - time for more sleeping   - I even have tried "snuggling up" to Caddy a few times while he's reading the newspaper in the morning  - also, we've played "chase the mousie" in the afternoon - Caddy throws the mousie in the foyer, I get to jump up really high trying to catch it!!

Otherwise, not much new here - Caddy says he looks out from the living room many times and sees all kinds of deer - especially one bunch - a doe (mama) and two fawns munching grass and leaves off the bushes - and they're there morning, noon or night!!

OK, I'll sign off now - Caddy Jim might want to use the computer - Tat   says goodbye to all!

Hi cousin. Glad to hear from you. the weather is changing here and it's great snuggling weather. I received a new blanket from some people from a place called Australia. Meowmy put in the Windsor chair and now the chair is so comfy to nap on. Tonio:Tiger: 

Hi, Tat! I'm so glad things are going well for you. We have deer here too. They don't munch the bushes, but I get to visit them in the pasture. I think they are hanging out with our big brothers and sister.

Gosh, I didn't realize it had been awhile since my last missive!     Must be the cold weather slowing me down. (That's what HE always says!  Tat speaking    ) - not much new here - Tat REALLY LIKES to curl up in my lap while I'm reading the morning paper (   for me and    for Tat) - also, she likes to snuggle evenings for TV time    - can't get her to snuggle on my bed during the night - she's sleeps just outside the doorway to my room, OR downstairs on the cat stand near the vent from the heater.

We are OK - record cold (1 degree F this morning!) -     - I took Tat to the vet yesterday AM (58 degrees but lots and lots of RAIN    ) - Tat check out OK, plus she got a shot (  ) - today, HIGH of 7 degrees - STAYIN' IN!!

I know he's been lurking.

Hi fif and sue and everyone else! Yeah, I've been a "lurking" participant rather than an "active" one - I'm generally around and check the site every day - just haven't said much. Two major reasons. First, I've been troubled by joint pain, comes and goes, in various places - shoulders, elbows, wrist, hand, knee - either side - lasts a few days, then goes away. Comes back somewhere else after a week or so. Finally got to see an arthritic specialist. Gave me a long list of blood tests - she thinks it may be rheumatoid arthritis. Another visit next week. When I get severe pain, I loose interest in anything but rest the "hurt part" and taking some naproxin.

Second reason. My main computer suffered a hardware failure - it's an XP - I know, I was supposed to replace it long before this, but .... I lost many files, pictures, etc. Got a new Windows 8.1 desktop - brought it home, set it up and - again, I should have waited until my virus protection software came in, but I wanted to check it out. Result - I got a virus on the internet - Explorer and Firefox - that kept trying to sell me "virus protection" - coudn't erase them, couldn't do anything. Finally, got my own virus protection software - think I have it contained. Meantime, I have an old laptop XP that has internet capabilities - that's what I've been using up til now. Don't have my old email addresses, web sites, etc - but am able to handled some web stuff. Sheeesh.

Other than that, the weather has been good, Tat's doing fine, maybe I'll be able to get back to my old ways in a few weeks.

Hate hearing about the joint pain. Hope the docs can give you some relief. Glad hear that Tat is doing well. As for the computer, I have a Mac and I love it.

So good to hear from you, Jim and Tat. The joint stuff sounds pretty miserable, and I also hope the docs can get you some relief. I know my grandfather had bad arthritis, and found some relief with plain old heating pads.

Ugh on the computer thing. Good luck! Windoze... Geez. You'd think a new computer would come with 30 days of SOME kind of antivirus stuff just so you could get set up and running.

I am so glad to hear from you Jim. I know the arthritis is miserable (Arthur-itis sure gets around doesn't he?); my mom has both rheumatoid and osteo so lots of meds to deal with it. Naproxen is one of the first meds they try, there's plenty others if that one doesn't work for you. Mom uses heat and icing to keep her hands from hurting when she overuses them. Oh, I heard there's a computer system that types for you when you speak, my friend Dolores uses that on her phone (which then posts it to the web) since her hands are so bad.

I second that UGH on the computer problems. Hope the viruses are gone for good now.
