Mr. Peabody and Sherman was a cute movie. I am a history nerd so my favorite parts were the visits to the past.

I saw The Land Before Time several times as a child. I watched it for the first time as an adult. I am happy to say it holds up very well. It packs a lot of cuteness and heart in a very short running time. It also has a great message about acceptance.

Watched Space Cowboys tonight. Caught it in bits and pieces at my cousins last summer. Wasn't two bad. Special effects were good, the cast was Clint Eastwood, Donald Sutherland, James Garner, Tommy Lee Jones and James Cromwell. Not a bad way to spend a Thursday night. Eating Eating Eating

Watched Saving Mr. Banks Starring Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson. It's about Disney and his obtaining the rights to Mary Poppins. It was an okay way to spend a Monday. Eating Eating

I, Frankstein was not what we expected.....it had him as a demon hunter. Kinda weird in fact. Not sure how to rate it.....had a lot of action (CGI) so Brad liked it.

Watched the Abyss last Monday. James Cameron was the writer director but this was far superior to Titanic. In certain ways it reminded me of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. won an Oscar for Best Special Effects. Starred Ed Harris and Mary Elizabeth Mastranonio. Almost a a three hour run time but well worth it. Eating Eating Eating Eating

How to Train Your Dragon 2 was good but it was darker and more violent than the first one.

Just finished watching the Grand Budapest Hotel. The trailer I saw on another movie rented it looked like it was going to be really funny. Boy, what a waste. I looked up the cast and what a waste of talent. Ben Kingsley, Jeff Goldbloom, and Bill Murray. Eating

Talent can only do so much with a bad script.

The Penguins of Madagascar was cute and funny. I liked all of the name puns from the villain such as "William, hurt them!" and "Halle, bury them!" lol!

Dolphin Tale 2 was not quite as good as the first one but it was still a worthy sequel.

Just finishing Captain Philips with Tom Hanks. This is based on an actual incident involving the pritating of an American Container shop by Somali priates. The ship managed to escape them but the captain was taken hostage. Stars Tom Hanks with the US. Navy as supporting cast. I'm giving it four popcorn. I couldn't get the icons to work.

Watched Memorial Men Had a great cast George Clooney. John Goodman, Bill Murray, Cate Blanchett.  It was okay, Clooney was also writer directer on this and he really should have stuck to being actor director.  It's based on a true story from WWII.  The cast did the best with they bad material.  Eating Eating Eating

Watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I'm sure everyone knows the background and plot this. Good cast and fairly witty at times. Good way to spend a cold Monday night. Eating Eating Eating Eating

Just finished watching Belle, This is the Netflix blurb. This period piece based on fact traces the life of Dido Elizabeth Belle, biracial girl born in 1751 to a British admiral father and a African mother. Raised by her great uncle she finds her place in society despite her mixed ethnicity.

Movie is a British production and was well put together and is a more in depth than the blurb gives it. Emily Watson was in it, she was in the Book Thief, also Penelope Wilton, who is the actress that plays the part of Isobel Crawley in Downton Abbey. Several actors you will recognize. Just finished watching Maelficant. This another retelling of Sleeping Beauty. This version did turn the classic fairy tale on it's head. While it was draggy through the first half, it really picked up the pace in the second half. Really neat twist and I shouldn't have been surprised when I saw in the credits that Angelina Jolie was one of the executive producers. Eating Eating Eating Eating

This dog of a movie has been nomanted for best picture, and a couple of other Oscars. It also did well at the Golden Globe. My question is what are the imbibing and why aren't the sharing. There is not enough of anything legal or otherwise that could make that movie worth watching.
