Re: BIJOUX
Fif, please try to be calm. He will be fine, and you need to rest. It's hard I know but please try to rest and you can get him on Monday when you are a lot calmer.

Fif, as hard as it is please try to stay to calm. The extra time will help you recover. I know you miss him but he will be back with first thing Monday morning. You will have a joyous reunion and you will be feeling much better.

Re: BIJOUX
If you could've seen the look on his face, his entire body language......they made me break my promise. And I don't think mom packed enough of his food and bottled water to last him. We left a note on every single door at the vets, over the keyhole so they can't miss it, to please call and we'll come asap for him. They said he was eating, but not much. That worries me, he can't afford to lose any more weight.
And we'll have to do this again at least 3 more times to finish off the fistula, deal with the hemangioma, and the lump in my thyroid. If my sis wasn't such a b*tch we wouldn't have to put him in there. She was told but hasn't bothered to acknowledge this or care.

Re: BIJOUX
The notes worked! Got a call 8am Sunday and we practically flew over there to get him. Bij was a bit unsure, mom had to coax him out of the cage for a hug. He sure was purring though! Gave me kisses there on the spot. First thing we did was tell him 'let's go home'. Had to tell him that again to get him in the carrier (I put him in it and out to the car). First thing at home I gave him a huge breakfast of wet and crunchies and he ate every single bite! It was like they never fed him. His belly was so full and he was purring so much. Half of the food and water we left for him at the vets was untouched so he did NOT eat much at all while he was in there--poor baby. Forgave me before he forgave mom (she's the one who put him in that cage). He sniffed my shoes and suitcase, my wounds, and gave me a good bit of love. Then he decided to forgive mom and she got some love too. Nice escort home and even more cuddles before leading mom home to bed.
I know she didn't sleep at all Saturday night and cried a bit worrying over Bij being stuck in there for yet another night. We're skipping the tenant meeting and other stuff to stay home with him.

Aww! That's great. I've had kitties that don't eat when they're boarded. Always worrisome. But, everyone's home now. That's great!

He'll finally get back to normal just in time to be boarded again. Wish I could explain to him why we have to do this again.

Mom wishes we could explain it to him too. He's really enjoying being home and having access to his birdwatching window. Still eating like there's no tomorrow. Got nitenite kisses but no escort home last night. The days snuggling of both of us must've taken a lot out of him!

Kitties here have been standoffish. I don't want to go through what you did to get the snuggles.

Re: BIJOUX
Bij has been giving mom a ton of snuggles, back to normal. Mostly ignoring me except at dinnertime, then I get a run-by snuggle on his way to the kitchen.

Re: BIJOUX
I am back to begging for kitty attention.....and mom can't pry him off with a crowbar!
I got a short snuggle in about an hour ago with BeeBee from across the hall. (originally named Orville but turned out not to be a boy) She's the cute tiny lil cowprint kitty I met the day she moved in at what I found out today was the tender age of 4-weeks old. She loves the crocheted mouse I gave her before her litterpan was even set up.

Re: BIJOUX
He sure protested......tried to climb over my shoulder and fought not to get in the carrier. And this was AFTER I shared a steak with him. Mom took him out of the carrier, hugged him, told him she loved him, and we'd be back for him. My turn: I told him in the car he was a good boy, he didn't do anything wrong, I would be back later for him, I loved him soooooo much, I'd be back later for him, he was a good boy, my little sweetheart. He didn't seem quite so sad.....even sniffed the litterpan we set up and the food and water and his blankets with all our scents on it.
I hope my ride isn't screwed up this time and he only has to stay two nights. I miss him already, so does mom.

Re: BIJOUX
Bij is very glad to be home. The tech handed him to me at the vets' office and I got instant purrs, nuzzles, and kisses. He wouldn't go in the carrier even when I said Let's go home sweetie. He went right in "yes ma'am" when mom said Let's go home. Nice big dinner courtesy of his Lori, fresh water, crunchies, and treats. Ate like they never fed him, and gave me a few cuddles. Then napped like a log in HIS window. He sure missed his window view. Missed us big time too. Good little boy, eating all his dinner and crunchies, keeping a close eye on us, investigated EVERY single inch of my apartment to make sure nothing and nobody moved in while I was gone. No tiny crevice was overlooked despite the siren call of an open window and it's breeze. Keeping a very close eye on both of us rght now. Was careful checking out my owies on my arm and more careful sniffing around the staples in my head. Such a sweet boy, I missed him soooooo much and he knew it!
The vet tucked a get well card and a gift card in Bij's little suitcase for me. This guy is worth his weight in gold.
