He isn't so much but the doggies in the building are smothering me in kisses! Mom on the other hand can't pry Bij off for anything. I did get a few cuddles after sharing some pot roast with him last night.

Re: BIJOUX
I was awakened around 1am last night to a cat who insisted on seeing me before he would go back to bed. A short visit, purrs, kisses and off to his own bed. Just was informed he was a HUGE cuddlebug for mom all morning long.
Any bets on whether or not I have to beg for kitty attention? Or bets on how much I manage to get?

Re: BIJOUX
I got some kitty snuggles last night....if you call mostly sitting on the back of my chair keeping the back of my head warm snuggling. I got kisses too, some purrs, and a few nitenite kisses. No escort home though. He was too tired being mom's velcrokitty ALL DAY LONG.

Mouski is doing exactly that right now. He is behind my head on the back of the chair, sound asleep.

I wonder if Bij will notice the staples are gone. I need some MAJOR furkid loving right now. Crapsurance is at it again....

Re: BIJOUX
Well, Bij gave me some major snuggles last night, the back of my head to be specific. Laying on the back of my chair, body curled around my head keeping it warm. My hair was freshly washed so got a big dose of Eau de Bijoux spread on it, purring up a storm. But then he bit the back of my head! OUCH! Guess he got carried away, I don't blame him, I'm not mad and told mom so. Just had her check to be sure he did no lasting damage since that part of my scalp still has little feeling in it since the surgery. (told it might take up to 3 months for feeling to return)
No escort home but lots of nitenite kisses when I asked for them.

Antonio bites the back of my head too, sometimes it's just a huge yank on my hair.

My kitties are being standoffish. No snuggles and no purrs. They're scoping out sleeping spots for winter.

That's pretty much what Bij did, but I did feel it in that numbish part of my scalp and it was close to the suture line so better to check than not. He was cuddly last night too. He snuggles my head for the most part lately, like my hair is part of another cat. Maybe he knows the body heat feels good right now?

Re: BIJOUX
I haven't been getting that much Bij attention lately.....ever since the surgery. Been mom's little shadow though. Not many escorts home either. No idea why. I've been begging for kitty attention and not getting anywhere with it.

Re: BIJOUX
I found something that gets me kitty attention! My shoulder is really sore from being off the arthritis meds too long so using that ultra-strength BenGay. Turns out he LOVES the smell of that! He was purring up a storm! Kissing me, nuzzling my shoulder, looking for the source of that delicious aroma. So I took a few of those pink lozenge candies from farm&fleet over since they smell exactly the same.
He's been quite attentive lately since I started using the BenGay. His reaction to that lasts longer than catnip. I still have two pots full of fresh catnip growing. I can only lift one of those pots to bring it inside when it gets a bit colder outside.
Bij has been sleeping more, longer, and deeper asleep these days. Mom stares at him to see if he's even breathing. We can talk to him and he won't hear us. My baby is getting old...

Awww! Bij. Better, not older.
You can cover the nip pot that stays outside with leaves. Just pile them up over the pot and let it sit around all winter. It should come back just fine in the spring. If it had flowers, the seeds will sprout.

That's interesting about the Ben Gay. I have something that I use that has the same effect. It's called Sore no More

Re: BIJOUX
Bij hasn't curled up in my lap or napped there since before the surgery. It's like he won't do that anymore and I miss it. He did curl up on the back of my chair Saturday night and fall asleep. I get a few kisses, some purrs, short snuggles sometimes, but no really satisfying long snuggles. Only one escort home all week, and he didn't stay long. Now that I don't need to use the bengay so much I probably will get even less attention. If he only knew about Wednesdays' plans.......
We'll see if he does his nursing duties when I get home.

Bij, snuggle your Lori when she gets home. She won't be feeling too great, and snuggles are the best medicine.
