I've got a stew going. Nothing really fancy just the beef, with red wine, stock. I added some grated ginger and cranberries. I'll service it over mashed pototoes.

That sounds good. I found a great chili recipe on the Lea & Perrins website. The stew was good but the next time I'm going to use a baked acorn, butternut, carnival squash as the base.

Excellent! I have a bunch of squashes in my kitchen. I think you've given me an idea for future stew.

Broiled flounder, brown rice, and veg. Light and tasty. There was too much fish for us to finish, so some kitties got tasty treats.

I had leftover sides. Wasn't hungry enough for more turkey since we ate a late lunch. I love sides. I am giving myself pats on the back for excellent cranberry sauce this year.

Re: For Dinner Tonight?
Bag of cranberries
1/4 cup regular old white sugar (more if you like sweet sauce)
About 1/2 - 2/3 cups of juice (I used a combo of orange juice and also apple cider)
Cook until boiling.
Add a splash of Grand Marnier and keep cooking until berries start to pop.
Cool to room temp before eating.
Thickens in the fridge.

Made a BUNCH of bacon for breakfast with fried eggs. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I might have eaten too much bacon.

Is there such a thing as too much bacon???bpaquet wrote:Made a BUNCH of bacon for breakfast with fried eggs. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I might have eaten too much bacon.
We're having spaghetti and garlic bread.
Re: For Dinner Tonight?
I didn't think it was possible.
Tonight was cleaning up the last of the leftovers and making turkey stock. Soup later this week!

Hot cider and a gingerbread man while we walked around for Grand Illumination. It isn't much of a dinner, but it's a special kind of delicious.

Grilled chicken and baked sweet potatoes. I had broccoli on the side, but my husband hates it. That was all for me. Bingo ate some too.

Re: For Dinner Tonight?
We went out to celebrate Cree's great news. I had salmon with a really tasty parmesan topping, rice, and green beans. I had 2 (yes! 2) glasses of Chardonnay with it. Celebration! I have 1/2 of the salmon left for tomorrow's lunch. Salad with salmon sounds delicious.
