WTF was chowing down earlier. GW was here eating but Sport was here earlier. Pogo was here having a snack but I had to cut him off.

Trying to get fat for winter. The kitties here all look a bit bigger than they did in the summer.

I'm seeing serious floof here too. GW was here for breakfast but I haven't seen the others.

I'll bet they're growing in some serious floof too, winters coming fast.
Becky, is that kitty still hanging around that old mans house? He might not have had a choice in leaving behind a kit being sick and all.....
In a way that's how I acquired my Miss Kitty. The old man in the trailer across the street from me died and had no family. She showed up the day they auctioned off his trailer and it's contents, half starved and hungry for attention. Trailer had been locked up for a week before the auction. No one answered the kitty found posters. I figured she used to be his.

They're packing away the groceries that's for sure. I'm thinking this winter of buying the Whole Foods store brand tinned food. It's good quality and they offer a case discount, the other chains don't. The 10% discount will cover the the 8.125% tax.

Re: Feral for life
Geez! Our sales tax is pretty low because we pay income tax. I think Fiff gets the worst of both worlds. State income tax and huge sales tax. Ouch!
The black kitty seems to be living across the street with the nice neighbors. They aren't home a lot since the wife has a sick mom, but they're paying a really nice girl to care for their kitties and horses. All is well in kitty land, and I think the black kitty is not feral.
I saw the ferals today. They all look good and fluffy. The people on their corner put out food and water, so they have nibbles. Good thing since it seems to be kitty plans to puff up.

Texas doesn't have income tax. We don't have tax on groceries.

All the ferals were out sunning themselves. They look sleek and fluffy. Ready for winter, I think.

Sport of the Rodent Patrol did something I've never seen him do. When he and GW were here waiting for dinner, he did a Meerkit imitation. I couldn't get to my camera fast enough to get a photo.

I saw Kit for the first time since around the 27th, I wish he and WTF would get with the program.

Kit is here having dinner. I think he shows up after everyone else has eaten. Sport showed up this morning with a runny and he was sneezing. Not anything I can do.

Kitty colds. He'll recover, but it's sad to see them not feeling well.

Re: Feral for life
If Sport was tame enough I'd be tempted to take him to the vet for treatment. Kitty colds can turn to pneumonia in this changeable weather. Has Sport been around today at all?
I do get the worst of both worlds: 8.5% sales tax locally, 5.5% income tax, and 1% tax on food! I hate this state.

It's Scruffy not Sport. And he's not even close to tame. Haven't seen Scruffy all day and the weather is awful.

It's worrisome when the don't show up on a regular basis.

Could he have been hiding out because the weather was so awful?

Anyway he's back and Kit has been coming with him. Today though no Scruffy but Kit came by himself. As timid as he is he hung around to eat 3/4 a small tin of wet food.
