Re: Feral for life
Are there other places nearby they might move to? Our colony went from one abandoned trailer to another when the first got some bad damage. We don't have a lot of human traffic around there, so they are free to go anywhere they like.

Not that I know of. I just got back from feeding there, the tape was down and the debris off the porch. there is a sign for a foundation company in the yard. I'm shocked that they are doing foundation work, I didn't think the property could be restored. I've been told it's been empty for almost thirty years.

People here restore the most decrepit houses. I'm always amazed, but they look good once they're done. I think it takes more money to restore than to build new too.
I hope the kitties can find somewhere safe to be.

Just got back from feeding. There were a few more than I've seen in the past, these were familiar faces not new ones but still there are quite a few missing. I'm going to call my backup again over the weekend.

I'm sure with all the activity there, the colony is flustered. I hope they reorganize and settle. Wouldn't it be great if whoever is doing stuff to the house would be a caretaker?

It would but I'm not holding my breathe. I just hope the Flake doesn't piss them off.

Just checking on. the Rodent Patrol has some new additions. I think I have posted photos on FB, if I have I will share them with the group. I need to start trapping but have to line up transport first. Everybody seems healthy.

Yeah. I have some to trap too. The people in the house are good with it. The man is on oxygen, so he is unable to help, but he said he would appreciate the help. He keeps food and water out for the colony, and the kittens are starting to get big. Time to TNR. Next time I see the nice animal control guy, I'm going to ask him about traps. And, there is a charity store in town that is dedicated to TNR as well, so we will all be on the problem.

Sounds like a plan.
