I will, right now my major concern is Antonio. He is frightened of storms and he was hiding in his
usual spot last night and now I can't find him. We had thunder so bad that it rattled windows and shook
the house.

That's some pretty powerful thunder............we've had some of those here too already this year. Made me wonder: if the window actually cracks or breaks do I have to pay for it or the landlord?

There is some really nasty weather headed towards this part of the world. The fact that they
are talking about it two days out tells you something. I know a group I'm in contact with through
FB are also under the same alert. This group is in western Iowa sixty miles east of Omaha. I will keep
everybody updated as much as I can as things occur.

Yes, Sue, keep us posted. There's a big line of storms headed right through the nation's mid-section today. We had one tremendous downpour at about 4 AM, but right now, we're just overcast.

I don't know what the humidity is right now but it's oppressive. The wind is about 15 mph from
the south to southeast which means moisture and a lot of it from the Gulf. Overcast now. When that
front hits it with all the humidity it could be really evil.

I'm hoping we don't see a repeat of those pictures Lovekitties. I have a feeling this year will be a bad one for storms like that one.

Thought I would do a quick check in since we just had a hail storm of Biblical porportions. I'm talking tennis ball or
slightly larger sized hail, rain and high winds. People on the block have had major damage to cars and windows. Some
security lights were taken out. For those of you on FB I have an album posted. Even the mini van I drive is well not drivable
right now. Back window is totally out and the windscreen is spidered.

I would e-mail those of you on FB snaps but I can't remember my password for my mac e-mail account. Antonio is still
in hiding. He was the smart one I was the one opening the doors to take pictures and then going out into it.

I heard about that storm Sue! I saw a few pics online and on tv....hard to believe hail can be that big. So sorry for your minivan (I hope the damage is covered by insurance) but glad you weren't out in it like those people on the expressway during rush hour. The damage was unbelievable! I don't blame Antonio for still being in hiding, he's definitely a smart lil guy. Must've been terrifying to go through a storm like that one.

Other than the van, did it damage your home at all? I heard of houses with windows smashed, roofs with holes in them, and siding badly damaged.

the neighbors have five skylights and they are all broken out, security lights are shot.
I don't know about the roofs around here. Some of the century old homes with tile roofs
have major damage. I'm taking 80k and up. A theater nearby that was built in 1938 was
badly damaged. I assume everybody saw the now iconic shot of the Lakewood Country Club,
that is a mile from my house. The Lair House which is where my flat is located is fine other than some
damaged gutters.

I've watched some video and seen some pics, and it's just unbelievable. Like it's raining baseballs! Stunning and terrifying! I'm SO glad you and Tonio are alright. The insurance companies will have a field day denying claims, I'm sure (there's something particularly chilling about soulless entities denying just compensation due to an Act of God), but even when they pay, there's no getting back historic architectural treasures.

Suzzz, check my FB page. It was unbelievable and IDIOT here actually opened her doors and tried to
take pictures. What was I thinking confused . The van was fixed the afternoon. Still that was painful for
us all we have is basic liablity. The hood looks like someone took a ballpin hammer too it and part of the roof
looks someone hit it with a baseball bat. Still no one was injured other than frayed nerves. A thunderstorm moved
through this morning so Antonio was not happy. I gave him some catnip when he came out of hiding.

And I thought it was bad when we got a small hailstorm (nickle sized) that dinged my car all over when I lived in the trailer park. Mostly paint chips and a cracked windshield that didn't need replacing. I saw that some spots of TX got 4 ft worth of hailstones. Looked almost like it had snowed. Shocked

I can't quite believe I missed all that since I watch the news constantly. The only thing I heard about the storms in Dallas, was a joke that Jay Leno made about the gigantic size of the hail and how the Rangers and Astros would finally be able to hit something ...idiot! Evil or Very Mad

Last year we had a hailstorm that lasted less than 5 minutes and the biggest stones were about one inch - ended up doing some damage to the roofs and sidings in my area (insurance paid for a major amount in my case) - I can't IMAGINE what baseball sized hail would look like!! The pictures and videos shown here were incredible.
