Re: what are YOU thankful for?
I am thankful that after seven nights of staying over my sister and the twins have FINALLY left.
Believe me that was a VERY long week!

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
oh warrior i bet you guys were running around all over trying to keep up with those twins;)
pool chalk for coke? that must be something new kinda pool chalk cuz the stuff i used growing up at BLUE! swimming pool blue....1960s eye shadow blue! (my dad used to make fun of me when i wore blue eye shadow (NOT in the 60s! this was the wild colors of the 80s!)and asked me if i wanted to buy more pool chalk).
when i was making films (also back in those wild 80s;) )we were told that if we wanted to use something to represent coke to use either fine white laundry soap or baking soda...that if we were going to show somebody snorting it to use the baking soda. thankfully i never had to use either though i worked on films that did.

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
I'm a pool player, and there is the chalk you use to chalk up the cue tip, but then there's also the chalk that you put on your hands so the cue slides smoothly through your fingers. That's the white one. Most often it's a solid cone of chalk that you run your hands over, but some people use a powder, like baby powder instead. Here's a pic of the cone chalk for your hands.
Re: what are YOU thankful for?
That's the stuff Bobcat. I forgot about the blue cue chalk.

It feels horrible and evil to say today, but I am thankful everyone I know is still alive.

No, it's not evil. You have people you personally know and care about, so of course you're thankful they weren't targeted by this murderer. We understand that because you're thankful on the one hand, that doesn't mean you don't grieve with and for your fellow countrymen. We do as well for all the people of Norway.
Re: what are YOU thankful for?
I'm thankful that I found out that Tone and her people are well and safe.
It is nothing to be ashamed of, Tone, that you did not lose anyone personally, though you can grieve for all who were lost.

I'm also thankful your mom is not being evicted. Perhaps, this will give her the impetus to get rid of some of the stuff she has accumulated but will never use

I'm thankful Guri has gotten her appetite back, so she might regain some weight.
I'm also thankful for the several hundred thousand people who made yesterday so amazingly beautiful. Today, Oslo is covered in flowers. Makes me cry, just thinking about. I'm thankful that our people is so immensely beautiful and loving. All of it.

Lotiel, I'm glad you are safe. My dad left this past Thursday to see my brother in Idaho. I'm glad he came back alive. He flew out there and times I was hoping the plane didn't crash or anything.

And one other thing. That I finally find my car keys. Now I can hit the library.
Here you can get your library card like a store reward card. Very handy indeed.

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
Jeane, kitties sometimes throw up dinner because they have a hairball in the way.........
I'm thankful my mom might get rid of some stuff, not as much as I'd like, but some anyway. A little progress is better than none at all.

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
they were having a memorial today in the Church across the street from where I work. THis was the Church that was used after 9/11 for all the people who were searching the rubble. There is a memorial bell in the church yard that they rang for each of the people killed in Norway
