Re: what are YOU thankful for?
I called her and didn't hear back. Suzzz, I'm not going to push the issue. If it's
who I think it is, then the less said the better. She can be hard to deal with at the
best of times and down right nasty at others.

Sometimes those nasty ones still have a streak of kindness in them. And, of course, it might not be her at all. Well, whoever the benefactor was, let's just hope they feel the urge to do something nice again.

Let's all hope whoever it was gets the urge to do something that nice on several more occasions.....on a regular basis.
I'm thankful I've lost enough weight to bring my BGL down to a much more manageable level. I only seem to spike now and then when I have noodles or stress or a migraine.

That Antonio stayed in bed with me last night and snuggled and then snuggled
with a bit this afternoon.

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
I've noticed that presidents day seems to be a regional thing. Lots of mid west places remain open. We probably would have been open except the building I work in is closed for presidents day

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
President's Day is a federal holiday, and even though I'm a government employee, because there is a contract to operate Fermilab, I'm a government employee who doesn't get the standard government holidays. Confusing...
Re: what are YOU thankful for?
right, the piers were all closed, US Customs was closed, no mail, most of the steamship lines, and alot of the truckers were closed so we would have had a hard time doing alot of our work

Re: what are YOU thankful for?
Around here for Presidents Day the postoffice was closed but it seemed everybody else was open, including the village hall, library, and school.
I'm thankful not only did we not have school yesterday (parent-teachers conferences) because the weather was really bad, but I'm also very thankful we didn't get that 17 inches of snow predicted! It went elsewhere....and I feel sorry for those people.

not only was the library here closed for Presidents day, but they also closed the Saturday and Sunday before (some of the Brooklyn libraries have Sunday hours)
