Severe Weather Check-In

Haahaa about the dogs. I'm so glad your brand new house is fine. The pictures of Phoenix are just scary. It's hard to believe you got that much rain all at once.

There were some terrible tornadoes in northern IL last night. Waiting to hear from Fiffur.

I heard from Fiff. The tornado was about 50 miles from her, but they had lots of horrible storms. She is ok, although she had some leaks in a storage unit she was using during her move.

Glad to hear that she is okay. I hope nothing was damaged in the storage unit.

So far not much damaged beyond a bag of soaked toy stuffing and a box of kotex. That place has leaked twice now.

Those storms were wild! Surprising: no trees down or big limbs on the ground. Guess everyone trimmed their trees early this year.

We've had a major storm roll through DFW. The only thing that happened in Dallas was a hard rain, thunder and lightening. Antonio is in hiding. He doesn't do well in storms, Trina is curled up next to me.

It was wild tonight. The out lying areas took it hard. At point it rained so hard here you couldn't see the guest house and tool shed from my back door. The rain came in so hard that a small area near my back door is damp,.

Oh no! I'm glad you didn't have to inflate pontoons.

We're due for rain, but I don't think it's supposed to be like THAT.

I see the weather is bad in the Dallas area again. Let us know when things calm down.

I will. Right now it's overcast and nothing is happening. Antonio my trusty bad weather alert cat is snoozing next to me.

Texas is having some incredible storms and it's pouring rain again. My phone has been going nuts with all types of weather alerts.

I'm glad you have a reliable weather cat to alert you to bad weather. I see you had more of it yesterday and more on the way.

We are having tornado alerts. The thunderstorms are unreal. I was caught out in it but I wasn't to far from the house so I was able to make it home. Antonio is in his safe place. I'm keeping an eye on everything.

We're having a major winter storm. Sleet and freezing rain earlier, now getting ice.....multiple car wrecks already due to slippery roads. Not going to ease up until around noon tomorrow.

Wind and rain, but so far so good. No damage, and no flooding. The ponies are tucked in their stalls with hay. I need to muck, but don't feel like getting drenched. Power is on, internet is up. I think this is just a long-lasting summer rain storm.

The storm looks like it will miss us. I am concerned for friends who had to leave FL and SC. Poor Haiti and Cuba... Let's keep hoping WE won't need to check in here for bad weather.

Just some big gusts and a steady 30 mph wind with lots of rain here. Nothing too terrible. We lost power for about a minute, and the generator dutifully kicked on. We're doing well. I feel for the people farther south. :\
