Poor guy. Were you able to find the snake and remove it?

Nope. Happened in the dead of night between the barn and woods.

Bingo is getting back to normal. His attitude is completely recovered, and he's eating more comfortably. He's still doped up on pain meds, and his face is still swollen, although that is getting a little better. He might look like a hound again by Monday. He has 4 more days of pain meds and another week of antibiotics. Complete recovery is expected, and I sure HOPE he doesn't mess with any snakes again. Nasty little brown buggers they are.

We went on our first walk since the incident. He didn't make it the full distance. He still has a lot of swelling around his throat, so he gets winded easily. We made it about 3/4 of the way to his usual turnaround spot for his short walks. He was energetic for most of it, and seemed happy to be out and about. He also didn't have to wear a leash because he isn't wearing a collar while he's all swelled.

Poor guy. Glad he's on the mend. Still I think that's one thing he will never want to happen again.

Poor Bingo! I sure hope he never finds a snake again. Or if he does, he backs off quickly so he won't get bit again.

Painkillers are done tomorrow. It's perfect timing since he has play care on Wednesday, and I think he's recovered enough to go. He won't want to be all knocked out with meds. I'm sure the people there will watch out for him and not let him get over tired.

That's great. I'm sure he's tired of them too.

We walked down the street to his friends' house today. They have an awesome run set up. It has a pool and a house in it. They spent 20 minutes running and wrestling. Happy, tired dog tonight.

Weather should be great and bugs not too bad. Bingo will be ready. (And Mouski and GK will want to send Tonio some purrs too.)

Re: Bingo found a home
Today we walked between rain showers. The mosquitoes are insane, and we were walking while swatting/snapping. Bingo tried to eat the things there were landing on him. It's too bad that they are so bad because the temps are really nice and it would be a good day to be outside if it weren't for the bugs.

Re: Bingo found a home
It was a better day today. Dry and not too many bugs. The breeze kept them from being too bad. Bingo got to spend a lot of the day outside working on a beef rib bone we bought for him. I notice that I have several of them in the yard. I should do a pick up this weekend.

Re: Bingo found a home
Obviously he feels safe enough to NOT hide them by burying them in the yard.
